Krakow’s night life
The night life in the city of Krakow has become a synonym of “party time”, since the city never sleeps and tempts you into a plethora of cafes and bars, and a countless number of night clubs and bistros near the apartment in Krakow that you can rent. The city has many students, ex-pats, and young tourists and this wonderful mixture is a guarantee that the night will be just wonderful. The booze here is easy to afford, the women are beautiful and the DJs know the exact type of music that will blow the dance floor, so that one will return back home or the holiday apartment one rents in the early morning hours, when the cafes are already serving coffee and breakfast.
The best way to start at night is the marvelous Old Town of Krakow and especially at the central Grand Square, where are conveniently concentrated most of the pubs, great bars and busy dance clubs of this ancient capital of Poland. Another place with such strong presence of watering holes is the Jewish district of Kazimierz, where the party spirit is also that strong. Thanks to the pubs’ location, people can literally walk out of a club and bump into the next one, without paying money for taxis or wasting time.
The city of Krakow offers a very lively club scene, where there are parties going on during the whole week, Of course, the hottest nights are on Friday and Saturday. Then, people from various spheres of life, including locals, tourists and expats, merge into a joyful crowd that drinks, dances and enjoys the party. People usually do not stay at one place only; they rather tend to move from club to club. Usually, the clientele of the Krakow night clubs is varied, but most of the people tend to be in their twenties and mid-thirties.
The night clubs in Krakow are many, but they are not large and they usually have capacity of only 100 people. The music played is usually recorded one; however there are live performances of local bands every two or three nights a week. The music played is contemporary and so is the interior of the clubs. The jazz music is quite popular in the city, though there are also specialized rock clubs, modern pop clubs, etc. There are not many gay-only clubs; rather there are gay-friendly clubs instead. The striptease clubs are also out of fashion here and so are the karaoke bars.
Krakow is a beautiful city to explore during the day and an interesting place during the night. There are so many nice places to be checked out and the result is definitely one that you will like. Do not be afraid that you will be lost into this great selection of cafes, bars, pubs, clubs… No matter which one you decide to go to in Krakow, it would be a nice surprise.
